Welcome to Bari.
Located in central Bari’s Murat district (the city’s main shopping and dining quarter), the apartment is an easy base for getting around on foot and by public transport, with Bari Centrale within straightforward reach and Bari Airport connected by direct rail to the city in about 17 minutes (plus buses as an alternative). From here it’s simple to walk into Bari Vecchia for the city’s headline sights, including the Basilica of San Nicola, Piazza Mercantile, Teatro Margherita, Teatro Petruzzelli, and Castello Svevo, then continue to the waterfront for the classic Bari sea views along the promenade and old-town walls. A short stroll also brings you to the famous “orecchiette street” (Strada Arco Basso), where local women are known for making pasta by hand in the old town, a much-loved Bari tradition. The surrounding streets are packed with well-known places to eat, from no-fuss local favourites to standout restaurants and pizzerias, so planning a great meal is as easy as stepping outside.
Apulia is calling.
Bari is a brilliant launchpad for seeing the best of Apulia without constantly changing hotels. In easy reach are the postcard coastline towns of Polignano a Mare and Monopoli, the trulli villages of the Valle d’Itria like Alberobello, Locorotondo and Martina Franca, and the whitewashed hilltop beauty of Ostuni. Head further south for baroque Lecceand the beaches of Salento, or go north towards the cathedral towns and castles around Trani and Castel del Monte. The magic is that you can spend your days immersed in the region’s landscapes, food and history, then come back to the comfort and energy of a buzzing city, with plenty of choice for dinner, nightlife, and a proper evening stroll.
